A San Francisco Bay Area native, Michael McNevin is a veteran of the folk scene and has logged close to 20 years worth of concerts across the U.S. He's been a main stage performer at the Strawberry, Kerrville, High Sierra, and Philadelphia music festivals. He's shared the stage in clubs and halls with the likes of Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, Donovan, Richie Havens, Christine Lavin, Utah Phillips, and hundreds of others on the songwriter circuit. He has a seasoned voice, is an accomplished steel string guitar player, and has a vivid brand of storytelling. He is a past winner of the Kerrville New-Folk Award in Texas, a 6-time winner of the West Coast Songwriters Association "Song Of The Year" ('91, '92, '97, '98, '05, '09), and was chosen by Performing Songwriter Magazine as a Top 12 “DIY Artist Of The Year."
A singer-songwriter of the British Pop school ushered in by The Beatles, Jim Funk is a clear-voiced tenor with a voice and songs reminiscent of Paul McCartney’s, Squeeze’s Glenn Tilbrook, Crowded House’s Neil Finn, and Keane’s Tom Chaplin. A former songwriter for Virgin Music, Jim currently works with the Bay Area British pop inspired group, The Dawdlers, and since 2013 has played the role of “Paul” for San Francisco area Beatles tribute band, The Sun Kings, playing bass guitar, piano & acoustic guitar. In late 2014 Jim released an album of his own songs: A Busman’s Holiday.
