Vocalist, songwriter and producer Masha Campagne once again collaborates with young guitar star Ian Faquini, bringing you intimate Brazilian gems from the musical treasure trove of Brazil. With reverent tributes to Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, Guinga as well as their own originals, they explore the organic and sensuous nature of this music full of rich quiet fire and deep soul.
Campagne is one of the most lauded new voices in San Francisco Bay Area, with two internationally acclaimed CDs to her credit. She has performed on both East and West Coasts at legendary venues such Yoshi’s, Monterey Jazz and Zinc Bar to name a few. “Blending the wistfulness of Astrud Gilberto with the robust liquidity of Flora Purim.” - Jazz Times Magazine
Ian Faquini has just released his debut CD Metal na Madeira! He attended the renowned Berkeley High School Jazz program and at age 16 become an apprentice to the amazing Brazilian guitarist/composer Guinga. Shortly after, Ian became one of the most respected guitar players in the Bay Area, demonstrating rare chordal technique and unique composition skills.
