Emily Anderson -
Like stumbling into a rose garden on a trek through the arctic, listeners of Emily’s music find themselves helplessly lifted into a world so hauntingly familiar, and yet so enchantingly curious. With a voice of untouchable purity and lyricism of remarkable wit and poignancy, Emily cradles matters of the human heart with an almost impossible sweetness.
After many years of studying songwriting & music business in Boston, and with several tours and recording projects under her belt, Emily has returned to her native Fairbanks and risen to deserving prominence in the tightly knit music scene in Alaska. In fitting testament to this, she received the Rasmuson Foundation’s Individual Artist award in 2016 to assist her in making a full-length album. This new record, Simple Things, perhaps her most ambitious and stunning project to date, was released August 2017.
Power Snuggle -
Power Snuggle is one part hooky guitar meanderings, two parts vegan donuts, and all parts tenderpunk. Universe twins Chelsea Moore and Sarah Tudzin attended college in Boston together, but did not befriend one another until they moved back to Los Angeles to follow their respective sonic aspirations. After collaborating on Chelsea's solo project they soon realized they were musical soul mates, thus the birth of LA's own indie adorb-core outfit, Power Snuggle.
Power Snuggle is tackling the arduousness of young adulthood with lyrical charm, tongue-in-cheek self-awareness, and a soft pillow fort of musicality with the perfect amount of space for cuddling.
Allegra Thompson -
Allegra Thompson's playing and singing is steeped in the roots music of the American South, from the mountains of Appalachia to the Cajun prairie. Her home-grown perspective on American roots music was nurtured by her parents, Eric and Suzy Thompson, who raised her on a steady diet of ragtime, blues, bluegrass, Cajun, and Appalachian old time music.
Allegra is known both for the power and clarity of her singing and for providing a rock-steady rhythm bed on guitar or upright bass, skills she applies faithfully to a wide variety of musical styles. A founding member of the Drifter Sisters and the Bearcat Stringband, she also plays with Skillet Licorice, the Midnite Ramblers, Wendy Burch Steel & Redwood, and of course Eric and Suzy Thompson in their family trio.
