This December, Drunken Logic frontman and songwriter Jake Cassman embarks on The Vagabond tour, coming soon to a city near you! A multi-talented musician with a powerful voice, Jake will be playing acoustic arrangements from both Drunken Logic albums, debuting unreleased material, and taking requests for your favorite songs. Join Jake for an intimate and fun evening as he travels across the country!
The seed for Drunken Logic was planted when frontman Jake Cassman walked away from an Ivy League education, determined to forge a folk-rock sound that "blended more genres and styles than we have room to list, all in the name of creating an eclectic fast-forward sound that’s shaken up after each track,” (Vanyaland).
Ever since their first incarnation, formed at Berklee College of Music in 2012, the band has brewed a powder keg of diverse influences and potent, topical lyrics in their various shoddy apartments. Accolades and accomplishments quickly followed the release of their debut LP Something New to Burn in 2013 — they rocked AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants), won RAW:Boston’s 2013 Musicians of the Year, and played Berklee’s 2014 CMJ Showcase. The band's sophomore effort, Long Day’s Journey to the Middle, dropped the following year — their single “This Side or the Other” was awarded Best Music Video at the Southeast New England Film Festival. In 2016, Drunken Logic performed and taught at the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, played at Boston’s official New Year’s Eve celebration, and donated the song and video "What A Beautiful Morning!" to the 30 Days, 50 Songs project for a Trump-free America, alongside Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M. and dozens of other major artists. Drunken Logic are constantly reinventing their brand of music while battling the elements of contemporary America — and loving every minute of it.
