Albanie Falletta is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, and in her formative years she was exposed to the local music there: the sounds of Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Gospel music at festivals and backyard parties. Albanie began her love and study of early American Jazz as a freshman in high school in Wimberley, Texas, when she first heard the Parisian Romani guitarist Django Reinhardt. Listening fervently to recordings of Reinhardt, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Fats Waller, and other such great figures of jazz, she began to develop her feel for Swing. Soon she was performing alongside mentors and other players of the Austin scene where she lived and performed in the years after high school. In the summer of 2013, Albanie relocated to New Orleans, where she is currently living and performing with various traditional jazz and swing ensembles. Since the summer of 2015, Albanie has also been doing solo performances featuring her original songs.
Ben Rainer has been writing and performing music since he took up the guitar at age 13. He has since developed into a seasoned songwriter and musician, and his lyrical content has matured from impressions of teenage angst and fantasy into sincere observations of relationships and personal growth, with an eye towards the consideration of one's place in a complicated world. Originally from Santa Rosa, CA, Ben recently moved to Los Angeles,
where he works as a freelance musician and singer. He is thrilled to be sharing his music with new audiences around California.
Ted Case is a pianist and songwriter. His band Purple Crayon earned praise from Okayplayer as “a scrumptious synthesis of Motown studio band chops and music school technicality… something of an anomaly in the contemporary soulmatic R&B landscape.” Ted also leads Serotonin, a collaboration with two other vocalists; LA Weekly writes wryly, “Their honeyed voices will make you forget all about that little bottle of Zoloft in your glove compartment.” On June 26, 2017, Ted released his debut solo EP, Of Course. He has performed at the
Blue Whale, El Cid, WitZend, the Mint, Bar Lubitsch, and many other Los Angeles venues.
