Join Nigerian born, Los Angeles-based vocalist Douyé and her trio for an evening of great jazz songs from the American songbook - reinvented and made new again, in her Bay Area debut which celebrates her new CD release, Daddy Said So!

Douyé's trio features Leon Joyce, Jr. on drums, Glenn Pearson on piano and Hashima Mark Williams on bass.

After the performance, Douyé will autograph copies of her new CD, about which All About Jazz says: "After two successful and well-received classic R&B CDs, singer Douyé is on a career path that has taken an unexpected but ultimately logical turn. Douyé (pronounced Doe-Yay) has re-emerged as a very talented jazz singer on her impressive new recording Daddy Said So."

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the link below. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee. If you need more information, or have any questions, please call us: #510-654-3808. Thank you for your support!
