Coming off of a sold-out fundraiser at the Freight & Salvage, Ethan Ostrow is preparing to release his debut album, Confused, in 2018. Ethan is a jazz pianist from the renowned Berkeley High Jazz program. He has studied with the great Alan Broadbent, Bay Area legend Susan Muscarella, and Max Cowan of Atta Kid.
Ethan’s goal is to make music that is complex, yet accessible to a wide audience. Having led a double-life as an actor for many years, Ethan understands the power of storytelling, and brings it to his music every performance. The Ethan Ostrow Trio plays a wide variety of music including originals, re-arrangements of Jazz Standards, and covers ranging from Green Day to Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder to Stephen Sondheim. Ethan also composes, and has won numerous awards for his compositions at Jazz festivals across the West Coast.
