Hey Earl, Kevin Goldberg

Coming out of Funk, Jazz, and 18th century Eastern Europe, Hey Earl play whatever the hell they want to and it’s a masterpiece every time. If you want to gently sway to some sweet elevator music and kill a few brain cells, this is not your scene. If you wanna get sweaty and groovy and elevate your emotional state to where you are at peace with the uncertainty of life, get on our level.

Luke Clingerman bringing the eye of the storm with his bass, Alex Bru pumping out our heart beats on drums, Jason Countryman dapper AF lovin’ on guitar, and Helen Orzel working unholy miracles on keys.

Kevin Goldberg has always been surrounded by music; his ear training began as early as two years old, when his father taught him to improvise on the piano. Since then, his musical journey has taken him through many styles of music and multiple instruments.

In addition to his roles in Lil' Elephant, Solate, and Wayfairy, he holds space on the low end in jazz, soul, and fusion projects throughout the Bay Area.

As a solo performer and songwriter, Goldberg takes influence from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Esperanza Spalding, and Gregory Porter. He brings a unique and eclectic set to The Back Room.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-654-3808. Thank you for your support!
