Noah Zacharin

Noah Zacharin.jpg

Noah Zacharin is an acknowledged guitar master and writer of literate, deeply-felt songs. Decades of listening and learning enable him to move easily and authentically across the genres of Americana: folk, blues, ragtime, country, bluegrass, and jazz—all are called upon as vehicles for his songs. Combining the linguistic skills of a published, award-winning poet and translator, with a singular accompaniment style, Zacharin’s songs are each unique diamonds.

Over the course of his career, Noah Zacharin has recorded 7 CD’s of mostly original music, collaborated on several others (including one with renowned Canadian writer Ken Norris), and produced and/or performed on some 50 recordings by other artists throughout North America. His eighth CD will be released in early 2018, while a re-issue of 2007’s much-lauded Waiting on Your Love will be ready later in the year. The latter will include unreleased material from the original sessions and a DVD of beautiful ASL interpretation by David McCloskey.

In performance, Noah Zacharin firmly believes his job is to “dance on the tightrope.” Avoiding the safety of fixed arrangements, always reaching for new guitar and vocal moves (with a voice none other than Leonard Cohen called "very compelling"), Zacharin takes his listeners on a complex and enriching emotional journey. Often cited as a leader in his community, Noah Zacharin’s performances are not to be missed.
