Comedy Night with Matthew Banks & Hanna Evensen

Matthew Banks, one of the SF Chronicle's “Comics to Watch,” recently moved to the Bay Area from Mississippi, where he frequently had run-ins with horrible snapping turtles, water moccasins, and other exciting critters. He started doing comedy in NYC before coming to grace the biggest stages in the Bay Area with his southern flavor. He also hosts the Matthew Banks Podcast - tune in for his hilarious chats with other top comics in the region.

Hanna Evensen is a Bay Area native who launched her comedy career in Vienna, Austria, which many well-meaning Americans confuse for Venice, Italy. She opened for several top comics on their European tours, headlined some of the top stand-up shows in Austria and debuted her own 45-minute comedy special. Now she’s back in the Bay, making waves with her quick wit and likable personality.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $16 at the door. Advance tickets are available here, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-654-3808. Thank you for your support!
