Jaron Lanier, Barbara Higbie, Scott Amendola & Zachary Ostroff: Dawn of the New Everything Ensemble

This is all-new melodic, improvised/composed instrumental music with some of the East Bay's musical luminaries. Virtual Reality pioneer/multi-instrumentalist Jaron Lanier, multi-instrumentalist Barbara Higbie, percussionist Scott Amendola and acoustic bassist Zachary Ostroff will take musical flight, inspired by Lanier's new best-selling book, Dawn of the New Everything.

Lanier and Higbie were lauded by the New York Times for their performance at New York's Bang-on-a Can Festival. They now join forces with virtuosos Amendola and Ostroff to create an almost orchestral four-piece ensemble. Jaron, a world famous computer scientist and musical adventurer, is known for his pioneering work in Virtual Reality and his best-selling books, Who Owns the Future? and You Are Not a Gadget. Barbara is a Grammy-nominated, Bammy-Award winning composer who has appeared on over 100 albums, and was the first woman signed to Windham Hill Records. Scott Amendola, considered one of the finest Jazz drummers in the country, is known for his work with Charlie Hunter, Bill Frisell and Nels Cline. Zachary Ostroff has worked with Joshua Bell and Esperanza Spaulding among many others. Zach is a Stanford educated climate scientist, with a focus on arts and climate health.

This is a VERY RARE, once-in-a-LIFETIME performance of four friends holding hands and taking a musical leap together: inspired, exploratory - a beautiful ride you'll never forget! Don't miss it!
