Join Sam Rudin, the owner and creator of The Back Room (and yes, some of you know him as Hurricane Sam), for an evening of piano wizardry.
Joining Sam tonight for an evening of mostly classic jazz is the great saxophonist Noel Jewkes, and his good friend, the wonderful singer Kay Kostopoulis. Noel is the dean of Bay Area horn players, and tonight is the first step toward seeing if we can put together a regular series, perhaps a residency, anchored by Noel, featuring Kay, and other singers, and attracting some of the great players in the area to sit in. And speaking of that, the East Bay's indispensable bass player, Aaron Germain, will be joining in as well.
Tickets are $15 and are available in advance at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).
The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-654-3808. Thank you for your support!
