The Lonely Heartstring Band

The Lonely Heartstring Band combines soulful instrumental virtuosity with soaring three-part harmonies, nourished in the deep roots of traditional American music to create a style beyond any genre-specific title. With their 2015 IBMA Momentum Award and the recent release of their debut full-length album on the legendary Rounder Records, this band is showing no signs of slowing.

Though Deep Waters is the Lonely Heartstring Band’s debut album, it nonetheless feels deep, with a maturity and wisdom far beyond what one might expect from a first release by a relatively young band. Having come together officially only four years ago, the Lonely Heartstring Band has already been hailed by luminary Tony Trischka as having “carved out a fresh niche in modern bluegrass,” and similar accolades not often accorded a debut outing.

Since their beginnings in 2012, whether it’s a festival stage, theatre, or intimate listening room, The Lonely Heartstring Band has always delivered a dynamic, diverse, and heartfelt performance, bringing crowds to their feet and generating a devoted following of music lovers. Made up of George Clements, Patrick M’Gonigle, Gabe Hirshfeld, Matt Witler and Charles Clements, The Lonely Heartstring Band is forever eager to hit the road to bring their memorable performance to audiences across the country and the world.
