Rachel Ohnsman is taking on the singer-songwriter scene with her powerful vocals and tasteful keyboard playing. Whether performing as a solo artist or backing others, she brings thoughtful musicality to every project.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, Rachel's upbringing was in classical and musical theatre, but she developed a serious interest in Jazz and R&B after moving to Miami. Now she infuses her original music with these various styles and influences like Joni Mitchell and Emily King to create a sound of her own. In addition to performing regularly, Rachel works as an arranger and studio musician. She currently teaches private lessons in both voice and piano.
Rachel has performed with such artists as Becca Stevens and Ira Sullivan across the globe in Chicago, New York, Tokyo, Vienna, and more. She also collaborates with music organizations like Sofar Sounds, Backroom Sessions, and Young Artist Initiative.
Rachel's debut record, Lovers EP, will be released in Spring 2018.
