Mission Blue is a new band consisting of Dana Frankel on fiddle and her dad, Avram Frankel, on guitar, along with a rotating cast of special guests.
Long-time veterans of the Bay Area bluegrass scene, they deliver hard-driving traditional bluegrass laced with their special brand of father-daughter harmonies. Dana has grown up in the Northern California bluegrass community and is recognized as one of the most promising young up-and-coming California bluegrass fiddlers. She is thrilled to be a part of this new project, along with her other bands The Dim Lights and Pacific Drive. With Mission Blue, Dana and Avram are both excited to branch off and play in a new configuration with a variety of special guests at every gig. For this show, they will be joined by a cast of wily local bluegrass veterans: Zach Sharpe on bass, Billy Moore on banjo, and Jesse Appelman on mandolin. This will be a special show – please join us.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).
