Amelia Hogan, DJ Hamouris, Eileen Hazel

Three singers with many years of song-catching, and song-writing! Two sets in the round, with each of us collaborating on the other's songs. Look for lots of harmony, guitar, mountain dulcimer, ukulele and a cappella in the repertoire.

Amelia Hogan was singing before she could walk. She sings traditional Irish songs of the Sean-Nos or Old Style, plus Scottish, British, American, and Contemporary folk music with lilting grace and a subtle power. Much of this music is meant to be sung by the fire to a very intimate audience. You'll be transported into another time and place where the banshee cries and lovers embrace. Haunting melodies, stirring passion, and evocative storytelling is what you'll find. Transplants: From the Old World to the New is her 2013 recording with guitarist Ray Frank. She has performed from Oregon to New York, Ireland to San Francisco and back again. Slàinte!

Deborah Hamouris (“DJ” to her friends) is a singer-songwriter with a long performance and recording history in the Bay Area. Musically versatile, she performs as both a jazz vocalist and (on her mountain dulcimer) as a traditionally-influenced song smith. Deborah just released her 2nd recording with jazz guitarist Mimi Fox, 1 in 8, original songs she wrote during successful cancer treatment.

Eileen Hazel is a bard of the human soul. Her songs will make you laugh and maybe cry, and perhaps sing along! She has released two CDs of original music, My Interesting Condition and Spark. Eileen also sings with the Reclaiming Spiral Dance Chorus and sings and strums the ukulele with AHAmele Hawaiian Music Ensemble.
