Soul Jazz II with JuSusan

JuSusan.JPG

JuSusan (Just Susan) is a unique soul-jazz composer, writer and jazz vocalist who began singing in church at age 4 and went on to sing opera in college.

Out of her relationship with God and her love for jazz music, she founded Soft Sound Music and recorded an original gospel-jazz CD, entitled God’s Love Ballads. With strong vocals, she sings a wide spectrum of jazz songs that reach the soul and inspire those who hear them to live and love. She has performed in theatre and television commercials and movies, and for innumerable public, private, governmental and community agencies and organizations throughout California and abroad. She was also honored in 2008 to sing in Nelson Mandela’s jail cell at Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town, South Africa.

JuSusan’s third time back for Soul Jazz at The Back Room promises to be an experience like no other. As My Company shares the stage with her, you will hear jazz music and vocals, original songs and a performance that will give you a spirit of inspiration.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-654-3808. Thank you for your support!
