Texas-born but now Nashville-based, Gary Nicholson is a number-one hit songwriter (Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Hall of Fame), a recording artist, world traveling performer, and session guitarist. There are over six hundred recordings of Gary's songs in genres including country, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and pop.

Artists as varied as Delbert McClinton, Robert Plant, Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson, Taj Mahal, George Strait, Garth Brooks, John Prine, Neil Diamond, John Mayall, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant, Fleetwood Mac and Etta James have recorded Gary's songs.

Gary and Ringo Starr co-wrote the title song of Ringo’s new album, Give More Love, and Gary co-wrote (with Tom Hambridge) the title song to Buddy Guy’s recent release, The Blues is Alive and Well.

Gary also co-wrote with Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ “Don’t Leave Me Here” for their project Tajmo, which won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album and was nominated for Blues Foundation’s “Best Music Award” for Best Album of the Year. That song was nominated for “Best Song of the Year” for 2018 Blues Music Awards. Gary has a song on Willie Nelson’s current record, He Won’t Ever Be Gone, a tribute to Merle Haggard, as well as new cuts on Michael McDonald’s and George Thorogood’s new albums.

In addition to Gary's two Grammy-winning records with Delbert McClinton, he produced records for The Judds, Wynonna, Pam Tillis, Billy Joe Shaver, T Graham Brown, Chris Knight, Taylor Hicks, Seth Walker and others.

You will recognize many of Gary's songs, and this is an opportunity for you to hear these songs performed in the way they were meant to be done.
