Bell & Moss and Barwick & Siegfried

Dos Duos: East/West with Bell & Moss and Barwick & Siegfried

Bell & Moss

The wide-ranging music of New Orleans vocalist Cindy Scott and guitarist Brian Seeger, who perform together as Bell & Moss, embraces the sounds of the Great American Songbook, the music of New Orleans, Southern soul and Americana. For more than a decade, the duo has wowed audiences around the world, including concerts in Kazakhstan, Turkey, Mexico and across the U.S. and Europe. Equally renowned as educators—Seeger is a Professor of Music at the University of New Orleans, and Scott is a Professor of Voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston—the duo will be presenting material at this special “Dos Duos: East/West” concert from its’ brand new CD, which is oriented towards “social justice and good living.”

“Cindy Scott sings with a breezy, sunlit style that belies her exacting vocal craftsmanship. Brian Seeger’s sensitive guitar is a perfect match, rippling like generous layers of sea and sky behind Scott’s voice as it reaches full sail.” - Lansing City Pulse

Barwick & Siegfried

From Northern California to Northern Ireland, the acclaimed acoustic roots music duo of Barwick & Siegfried has won over a sizable following, one audience at a time. The duo of Kathy Barwick (guitar, vocals) and Pete Siegfried (mandolin, vocals) blends bluegrass, old-time country and folk into an engaging Americana fusion showcasing Pete’s exceptional lead vocals, Kathy’s amazing guitar work and their sterling duet harmonies. Hailed by Bluegrass Unlimited as “two like-minded lovers of song who’ve found musical gold in their pairing,” the duo perfectly captures the power of two—two musicians, two voices and two instruments—harnessed to a singular artistic vision. Barwick & Siegfried will be performing music from their three albums, the most recent of which is Stones and Gravel.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee.
