Terry Robb, Sam Rudin opening

“One of the finest acoustic guitarists on the international scene...finger gawkers flood to his shows…unquestionably, Terry Robb ranks right up there with the heavy hitters, a player of dazzling skill and technique.” - Living Blues Magazine

“One of the best players, on acoustic and electric, embracing a range of blues styles and then some.” – Vintage Guitar Magazine

These are just a few of the accolades paid to multi-award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, singer, composer and producer Terry Robb. He is touring in support of his new album Confessin' My Dues, which comes out worldwide on May 31st.

Robb will have special limited edition advance release CDs of Confessin' My Dues at this show.

Robb draws on his deep knowledge of Delta blues, ragtime and swing in 13 original compositions, ranging from blistering instrumental blues and stunning ragtime fingerpicking to soulful singing, backed by a powerhouse rhythm section. From country blues to Coltrane, ragtime to Hendrix, Americana to American Primitivism, Confessin My Dues will captivate listeners with its melodic and rhythmic invention and musical virtuosity.

Join him in concert April 13th and be among the first to get his new album!

In his prolific career spanning four decades, Terry Robb has built a signature fingerpicking style and unique blues sound which have earned him international acclaim from music critics, peers and fans. A dynamic live performer, Robb is a fingerpicking powerhouse who commands attention from any stage.

A measure of his powerhouse energy is that he asked Sam Rudin to open for him. Sam is himself a powerhouse pianist who is usually afraid to open for anyone other than a full band, for fear of an energy imbalance. Not a problem tonight!

With more than 15 releases under his name, Terry has toured nationally with Buddy Guy and Steve Miller, and performed alongside B.B. King, John Fahey, Albert Lee, Joe Cocker, Bo Diddley, David Crosby, George Thorogood, Leo Kottke, Johnny Winter and many more all-stars. He has appeared on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “West Coast Live with Sedge Thomson,” and as a guest soloist of the NBA Trail Blazers and The Oregon Symphony.

An inductee of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame, in 2011 he was honored with the eponymous “Terry Robb” Acoustic Guitar Muddy Award after winning the prize for 19 consecutive years. In 2017, he received the Lifetime Achievement Muddy Award. A sought-after session guitarist and record producer, he produced seven albums for John Fahey, including the critically-acclaimed LP Let Go, and produced and guested on Alice Stuart’s album Can’t Find No Heaven, nominated for Grammy and Blues Music Awards.

The Back Room’s own Sam Rudin will open the show.
