Cristiano

Cristiano.jpg

A native of Brazil, Cristiano has been a working musician since the 1980’s. A singer, composer and self-taught guitarist, he has perfected his own way of singing and playing the guitar.

He had the opportunity to be heard by artists such as Milton Nascimento, Marcio Greick, Benito de Paula, Margareth Menezes, Fábio de Melo and others, and has directed studio work with the bands Skanc, Jota Quest and Pato Fú. He has recorded four CDs, including one in São Paulo at the invitation of Eduardo Lages, singer of the singer Roberto Carlos. He has performed with numerous artists of name and renown in several Brazilian states, and has worked on many projects as an artistic producer.

The artist brings a synthesis of his trajectory as a composer and performer, performing his own compositions and also those of great authors of Musica do Brasil. Cristiano believes in always portraying your feelings with life, friendships, family, nature, love, and God.

This is his first appearance in Berkeley, and this performance is a benefit for the Uniao do Vegetal Spiritual Center. He will be joined by Juliana Marx-Andler, a talented singer-songwriter who was born in Brazil, and our own Sam Rudin on percussion.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own adult beverage with no additional corkage fee.
