Kally Price: the Songs of Billie Holiday and the 1930's

Kally Price performs astonishingly soulful renditions of classic blues and jazz by such artists as Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie and Big Bill Broonzy, backed by some of the West Coast’s best jazz and blues musicians.

Kally and her band play old blues from the 30’s and 40’s; a mixture of tight swing, sultry jazz and barrelhouse blues in a speakeasy style setting reminiscent of the bygone era, BYOB!

The song selections include some old classics and gems from a different time. The music reaches out to all audiences, telling stories that are still witty, pertinent and seductive. Kally has a voice that reaches deeply and genuinely into gospel and blues roots, shaking them out through her body, with an enjoyment that is both infectious and captivating. The sounds that come out of her are eerily pure, be there to experience Kally Price for yourself.
